Lost Places

LOST PLACES

At some point they were abandoned, later forgotten: industrial halls, villas, collieries, monasteries. Architectures that fall into seclusion, so called lost places. They are testimonies of past times and current fallow. Even if grass grows over it, the past is far from over. Old abandoned buildings tell the stories for those looking for this quest. What remains is the charm of transience and the morbid beauty of decay as nature recaptures these places slowly. In this place you can find art where you never expected it

Abandonded Buildings and Lost Places

For many people who are concerned with the forgotten places, this is a serious form of home history. In the meantime there are numerous documentations of such places in the internet. On the other hand, this peculiarity of places also sometimes involves underestimated dangers. Furthermore, entering such places is rarely legally regulated, which is why visitors to Lost Places sometimes prefer to act anonymously. But there are also legal ways. For example, many owners offer legal photo tours through their abandoned premises. There is also the possibility to enter the buildings on "Open Monument Day". Even outdoor shots have quite your charming. Und maybe you know the owner and may enter the property after a conversation.

The Urbexer Codex

Urbexers destroy nothing and do not open anything violently. Locked doors remain closed, locked windows remain closed. We treat respectfully with everything we find. Nothing should be taken along, except impressions and the pictures that land on the camera.
But the same applies in the other direction as well: we leave nothing behind. Nothing but footprints. Trash can be disposed of properly.
Going alone is the stupidest thing you can do. You should always be at least two or even better three people. There is a reason for this: if a person has an accident, another person can get help. If there is a threesome, while the third person is going to get help, the second person can stay with the person who had an accident .

My Visited Places

Here is a selection of the abandoned buildings and hidden places that I visited with my Urbex group. Many of the locations are now demolished or only ruins. There are snapshots of decay, of places that have a lot to tell and unique moments in contemporary history.
