Flora

FLORA

The word flora comes from the Latin and was derived from the name of the goddess Flora, who in Roman mythology symbolized spring, the flora and fertility. The term "flora" used in biology refers to the entire occurrence of those plants that grow in a particular area. The term flora can be understood in botany as a list of all existing plant species. British researchers have for the first time presented a comprehensive report on the state of the global flora. In the "State of the World's Plants report" all known 390,000 types of vascular plants are described, including about 370,000 flowering plants.

TWelcome to the wonderful world of plants!
I discovered gardening for myself a few decades ago. And that's how I see nature, and the plants and animals in it, as the greatest wonder that surrounds us. Here are a few photographs I've taken over the years.
